Images are printed to the maximum size of the paper selected (unless a collector has another preference). Actual image sizes vary according to the proportions of the original artwork. Prices Prices include USPS priority shipping in the US 8 1/2" x 11" prints: $55-$75 13" x 19" prints: $95-$105 Shipping Material: all prints are shipped on archival 2-ply backing board Full size Giclee prints in editions of 999 In giclee processing, the painting is printed on canvas and stretched on a wood frame: $360-$460 Materials Originals are high resolution (300 or 320 dpi) digital oil paintings, created on a Mac (17" macbook pro intel) using Painter software and a Wacom tablet, and printed at 300 dpi with archival pigment on 300-315 gsm 100% cotton rag. I use a digital camera and take hundreds of pictures every week, documenting my life and what I see. Mostly, I photograph scenes I visit on my daily walks with my dogs. I use my photographs for reference. Photoshop-manipulated photographs are in no way incorporated in this work. Some artists work that way. I am not one of them. My training is in drawing and painting, so my paintings are created freehand using digital brushes that simulate any media of choice. Mine is oil. I have been developing and refining this process since 1995. Archival does not have an exact definition. All the materials I use, including packing materials, are acid-free, so prints are guaranteed for 75-100 years behind glass. It is not necessary to put prints on cotton rag behind glass, however you may prefer to use glass. As the painter, I do not recommend mattes! They are paintings and the matte looks inappropriate (I've tried it many times). Best is to tack the print on an archival board or foam core and then frame. For the past year, I have been showing my paintings without glass. Framing Glass is expensive and fragile to ship. I recommend that you have your print framed locally ~~ select a frame that will compliment your home decor and enjoy your art for many years. Framers can help to guide you in your choices.
